Rhandirmwyn – or more specifically the Llyn Brianne reservoir – has been awarded “Dark Sky” status, and joins five other locations in the Cambrian Mountains as part of a Astro Tourism Trial.

The classification was given due to the reservoir being one of the best places in the world to view dark skies.
